Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited on Friday regional hospital for the Disabled Great Patriotic War Veterans that is situated in Cherkasy city. In the course of the meeting in hospital M. Tomenko greeted veterans with the great holiday 65th Anniversary of the Great Victory and wished them strong health, fortitude and inspiration.
In the course of the conversation the Deputy Chairman reminded of the long fighting of the veterans with disabilities and the hospital personnel for their rights and stated that "the young generation is supposed to follow not only veterans´ valor during the Great Patriotic War but even their citizenship and ability to protect their rights during the postwar period as well as the ability to protect the rights of the territorial community and their own rights." M. Tomenko emphasised that he would no be able to convince the Government in the necessity to pass on the hospital into the property of the Cherkasy region, alter the specialization of the hospital if not the definite position of the hospital leading staff and veterans under this hospital treatment.
M. Tomenko also announced that he had executed the wish of the personnel and during the today´ concert on the occasion of the holiday for the veterans and hospital personnel the Hero of Ukraine and People´s Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Hnatiuk would appear on the stage.
